APPROACHING THE SELF: Experiencing the Transpersonal

Our ‘Self’ – often described as our higher self/spirit/soul – speaks to us through dreams, symbols and images.  In this experiential workshop we will explore some of the many ways we can be open to its inner guidance. Bringing our Self into our conscious awareness can help us gain clarity on many issues, including health, relationships and life purpose.
Workshop topics include: symbols and images, sub-personalities, maps of the psyche and an introduction to the four functions (how we perceive, interpret and respond to reality).
This workshop is open to everyone, and can be taken as a one-off, or as part of the series of three.

The great impulse to become whole leads us towards the need for balance in mind, body and emotions and the means of expressing ourselves through creativity and intuition to maintain it and the health we seek.
Workshop topics include: The Four Partners at the Marriage, Container and Contained, Symptom as Symbol and much more.

We have been given an opportunity to present a weekend at the beautiful Lighthouse Centre in Tytherington, near Frome, Somerset, so we have moved the 8/9 May London weekend to there. This is a beautiful venue, set in 30 acres of parkland, and is a great place to enjoy Transformation Through Sound.  The course is not residential but there is some shared accommodation available at the venue and several B&B places nearby.  The Lighthouse has a café called Love in a Cup, where you can buy yummy gluten-free and dairy-free food. (An Introductory Course for Psychotherapists & Counsellors)

About Auberon: Most of my working life has been as a lecturer in Social Science  at Bath Spa University and Weymouth College and laterly I was Joint Director of Counselling Studies at Weymouth College.   I left Weymouth College three years ago now and have been working in private practice as a psychotherapist, Supervisor and Trainer.   My therapeutic training was initially at the Karuna Institute (a Buddhist based psychotherapeutic training which lasted four years).   Subsequently I have trained in Constellation work, Bioenergetic training and Intregrative Supervision (an Advanced Training at The Karuna Institute).
This is a course for Psychotherapists and Counsellors who have recently graduated (but not necessarily accredited) and for experienced therapists who would like to develop their practice with more experience, knowledge and understanding of psycho-somatic process.
There are three main themes to the course:
(1)   Personal enquiry into the body through experiential work, ie. exploring your own relationship to the body;
(2)   A deepening of knowledge and understanding of how our bodies take shape and form, and function, in response to psychological experience;
(3)   An exploration of the various ways a therapist can involve and use the body in healing work.
So, the course is a blend of personal experiential work; the expansion of knowledge/understanding via reading (printed notes), talks, discussion and demonstrations and seeing how the body can become a crucially important therapeutic friend in the process of bringing people more fully into the vitality of their life.
The organising ethos of the course is grounded in an integrative theoretical stance that is strongly influenced by Buddhist psychotherapeutic principles (CPP).
The course runs over 6 weekends (Saturday and Sunday) on the following dates:
(1)   13/14 March
(2)   27/28 March
(3)   24/25 April
(4)   22/23 May
(5)   19/20 June
(6)   10/11 July
It will be held at the Body Mind Spirit Centre in Dorchester (Dorset).

Detox for super health
New Year, New You! Christmas is a time of excess – too much food, alcohol and often increased stress. All this puts a strain on the body’s systems and can create a toxic overload.
What is a detox?  Why detox?
Detox is abbreviation of detoxification.   This is the body’s natural, ongoing process of neutralizing or eliminating toxins from the body – a necessary function our bodies naturally perform to keep our system free of poison.  The body has an amazing ability to cleanse itself, but every day our body is bombarded with toxins from such places as:
Processed foods
Alcohol
Damaged fats
Environmental pollutants
Household cleaning products
Food additives & preservatives

How to undertake a detox…

Our fundraising Pamper Parties and individual donations during January, for the Orphan Elders of Tamil Nadu, have amounted to a fantastic: £785.00! (£100 supports 1 Orphan Elder for a  whole year including medical expenses etc).
